View updates from those you follow. Unread tweets have a blue arrow at right. Tap any Tweet to view it. Tap usernames to view that user and send a reply. Tap links to open them. Press and hold on usernames/links for more options.
When viewing an individual tweet, it’s easy to reply, mark it as a favorite or get more information about it’s author.
If the tweet includes a geotag or photo, a preview will be shown here.
Get all the info on a specific user. Manage your following status, see their favorites etc. You can also quickly switch between their tweet history by switching to their timeline in the title bar segment.
Echofon has a powerful tweet-authoring screen. From here you can tap out a message, add a photo (take a new one, or choose from your saved photos), update your location, add a video (iPhone 3GS only).
Forgot your friend’s Twitter username? Just type an "@" symbol followed by a few characters, the autocomplete interface does the rest. Or you can tap the friends button to look through a list of those you follow.
In the mentions tab, you will see all the tweets that mention you. Interact with this screen just like you would any of the timeline views.
The messages and favorites tabs works the same way, it lists all your recent direct messages.
Tap the search tab and type in a query. You’ll see all the recent tweets with that phrase.
Before searching you will see your saved searches and current trending topics. Tap the question marks to see a trend explanation provided by whatthetrend.com
Looking for a certain user? Switch to the users tab where you can look through your friends, or search by username or first and last name.
Whenever a mention, @reply or direct message is sent from one Echofon user to another, a push notification will be shown instantly.
Echofon Pro will send a notification to your iPhone whenever you are sent a direct message or are mentioned in a tweet, regardless of whether the tweet originates from an Echofon user.
You can configure which events trigger notifications, times of day when you don’t wish to receive notifications, and the sound played when one is received.
Once set up Echofon stays in sync with Echofon for Firefox and Echofon for Mac. If you read tweets on your computer, then open Echofon on your iPhone later, you’ll be able to easily pick up where you left off.
Echofon allows you to use multiple Twitter accounts. Simply tap the title bar to switch between them. From this screen you can choose an account, or tap edit to change the settings for specific accounts.
