Echofon for Firefox appears conveniently within your browser window as a sidebar, popup or window. This is especially handy if you click a lot of links in tweets or post a lot of links as you browse. Clicked links open in new tabs and you can insert a link to the current page in one click. You can quickly hide and show the Echofon window by clicking the toolbar button.
The familiar Twitter timeline is just a click away. Echofon for firefox has all the same tabs as our other apps, easily view mentions, direct messages, lists, and searches.
Whenever you click a username or conversation in the timeline, it opens a tap in Firefox showing that users profile (including lists, favorites, followers etc) or the full conversation.
Tweets with photos or videos have a convenient preview shown in the timeline. Click photo previews to quickly view them in our photo viewer.

If you like instant updates, look no further than the configurable tweet popup. In fact, you won’t have to look far at all – the popups show new tweets as they are received in a subtle popup in the corner of the browser. You can limit these to mentions and direct messages only, or turn them off if you prefer.
Echofon makes the Awesome Bar even more awesome. You can simply enter “@username” into the Awesome Bar. Echofon will open the user’s timeline on twitter.com.
It’s easy to write tweets as you browse the web. If you want to share the website you are currently viewing, just click the link button and its URL will automatically be inserted into your tweet.
Once set up, Echofon on the iPhone stays in sync with Echofon for Firefox. If you read tweets on your computer, then open Echofon pro on your iPhone later, you’ll be able to easily pick up where you left off.
